This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Pennsylvania, west
central Pennsylvania, western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia
and northern panhandle of West Virginia.

Northwestern Fayette County in southwestern Pennsylvania…

* Until 815 AM EDT.

* At 355 AM EDT, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain continuing
in the warned area. Additional rainfall is expected to continue
flooding past sunrise.

FLASH FLOODING… Occurring.

ESTIMATED RAINFALL… Up to 3 inches.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL…Up to 1.5 inches.

…FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SATURDAY…

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

* Until 8 AM EDT Saturday

* Showers and storms with periods of heavy rain will continue
overnight, before tapering off near dawn Saturday.

* System totals of 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected, with
some isolated higher totals possible. Many locations are already
experiencing Flash Flooding, but further Warnings are possible.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
